The hosts were great, truly enjoyed my time with them. They make you feel at home as soon as you meet them. There weren't many travelers but I somehow got close with all of the ones I met. I left early and they were respectful and understanding of the situation. The tasks were easy and not too time consuming. I was able to explore La Fortuna almost all day if I wanted to.

I was received very well and felt welcome at the hostel in the beginning but I had a situation with Bryan(oldest son of the owner) close to my last day. He got really upset and talked to me in a very degrading way, raising his voice. After this conversation I did laundry and I tried to clean up and when I tried to be on reception again, the door was locked. This was the tipping point for me and the reason I left early. I felt it would be useless to talk to him.

We have already written you in private on that same day. If during your time here you didnt experience it, the reception door closes and even locks on its own, when we came to look for you and talk to you, the reception was closed with the keys inside. If you had spoken to us, to anybody that works here, they can confirm this fact. We apologize if your stay was not optimal, and are working to better for the future.

The hostel is amazing ! Diego and Floribeth are a amazing people. That truly care about people. They picked me up from the bus station and showed me around on my first day. I even got invited to the , the hostel waterfall and the hot springs. Floribeth is just a great person to talk to as well she make you feel like part of a family and I will never forget the conversations I had with her. I also learned many new skills from her and she let me all the freedom to bring in new ideas! And la Fortuna in general is just a magic and healing place! I will never forget my time in here! ❤️
