We want to celebrate the projects that are the most committed to creating a sustainable world and better future for all of us!

How do I participate?

The Award

Since our founding in 2014, the Worldpackers Community is committed to working collaboratively to create a resilient and integrated landscape, where people’s needs are met and the environment prospers. To accomplish that goal, our community-based Ecological & Social Sustainability Award is being launched in 2023

Annually, starting in 2024, the Worldpackers Community will vote for the 10 most impactful projects to be awarded our USD $20,000 prize as follows:

  • 1st place US$5,000
  • 2nd place US$4,000
  • 3rd place US$3,000
  • 4th place US$2,000
  • 5th to 10th places US$1,000

Be a Worldpackers Top Host* by confirming multiple trips throughout the year and having average ratings above 4.8.

Add the UN Sustainable Development Goals that your project focuses on to your Worldpackers profile.

Encourage Worldpackers volunteers to endorse** the SDGs you have the most impact on when leaving you a review on our site.

Starting on May 1st, 2024, the Worldpackers community will vote and select our 10 winners!***

Winners will be announced on June 5th, 2024 - World Environment Day

* To participate, you must become a Top Host at least 30 days before the award date. Hosts from all countries are eligible to participate.

** Only hosts with the highest number of SDG endorsements will be eligible for this competition.

*** Voting starts 30 days before the Annual Award date. (Unavailable in certain countries.)

Worldpackers reserves the right to monitor, discontinue, or suspend any host’s participation in our Annual Award who does not comply with our Terms of Use as previously agreed upon.

Beach Clean Ups

Since April 2021, Worldpackers has been organizing Beach Clean Ups to directly support 3 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our community has gathered to over 70+ Beach Cleanups so far.
